Ever feel like you are a floating head…
…totally disconnected from your body?
Perhaps you haven’t put it into those words but I’m guessing you are familiar with the feeling.
The racing, repetitive thoughts; the tension in your shoulders and low back. The headaches, perhaps? The emotions that tend to overwhelm at a moment’s notice?
That inability to make decisions or to consistently know what is in your own best interest?
Or, maybe there’s just this sense of numbness or dullness. Perhaps you don’t really feel much at all in your body other than the extremes of intense pain or pleasure.
You likely experience moments when your head *is* connected to your body as well.
In these moments, your mind feels clear and calm. It is easy to make decisions and you know what you need in order to feel safe, loved, and supported.
You know what you need because it feels right… in your body.
These are the times when life just flows and is filled with this sense of ease and wellbeing. Even challenges are met with grace and confidence.
Unfortunately, it is quite easy to lose this sense of connection between body and head (or mind). Fortunately, it is also possible to reconnect and to stay connected.
And when that happens… Woohoo!
